"Hi Linda: Thanks to Mary Winetree, one of your students, who was talking about her lessons with you, I was able to start playing golf again. I was a junior girls champion in California so many years ago that there were no high school or college teams for girls in any sport, or scholarships or encouragement for girl athletes. I played because my father drove me up to the local course, paid for 6 lessons, and I was on my way. Every day after school I took lessons and practiced. I entered all the Junior Girls tournaments I could in the Monterey Bay area, winning some and making friends. I went to Cal and never played again until now.
